 Human rights groups and the families of a number of Iranian opposition activists condemned to death as "enemies of God" are warning that their loved ones may soon be hanged after their sentences were recently confirmed by Iran's Supreme Court, Voice of America reported. The Iranian government has come under scrutiny once again for its human rights record, as political prisoners condemned for being so-called "enemies of God," or mohareb, appear to be nearing the gallows. |

 AP- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Tuesday called on Iran to release all political prisoners and expressed alarm about the fate of several specific detainees. Clinton said the U.S. believes that several Iranians are in danger of imminent execution for speaking out against the disputed June 2009 presidential election. She named three: Jafar Kazemi, Mohammad Haj Aghaei and Javad Lari. |

 Spokesman of the Iranian regime’s foreign ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, announced today that the regime has been after the expulsion of the PMOI members from Iran and expressed hope that some “members of the PMOI would be handed over to Iran.” He made the revelation in a pre-planned question and answer session while the agents of the regime in Iraq have been speaking about the arrest and extradition of Ashraf residents and officials of the PMOI for the past few weeks. |

 In a Capitol Hill briefing, Congressman John Lewis, described by the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as “the conscience of the U.S. Congress,” spoke to a number of his colleagues, Iranian-Americans and supporters of Camp Ashraf in solidarity with the Iranian Resistance.
A former colleague of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Lewis has been and continues to be one of the most prominent leaders of the civil rights movement in the United States. During the past quarter century, he has been enthusiastically elected by the people of Georgia as one of their representatives in US Congress. |

 The Iranian regime has once against placed a union activist at Tehran’s Bus Company on trial. Mansour Osanlou, the Chairman of the Greater Tehran Bus Company Syndicate, was brought to court in the city of Karaj without his prior knowledge and his lawyers were not present during the trial as they were also unaware of any proceedings.
