1- Help UKCSA Financially

An urgent legal campaign is in process which is essential in getting Iraqi government to know that their actions are being watched and they are legally obliged and accountable according to International Law, and International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Conventions. Iraqi government must know that they cannot arbitrary replace the residents of Ashraf to a remote location where their lives would be endangered. Subject: Join me to support bastion of Iran's freedom - Ashraf

Hi,

I've just signed up to UKCSA to help promote the cause of Ashraf. I'd like you to join me.

Islamic fundamentalism, rooted in Iran, is an increasing threat to world peace and stability. Since the Iraq war it has been ripping Iraq apart. According to prominent Iraqis Ashraf, the bulwark against Islamic fundamentalism, has been instrumental in empowering Iraqis to stand against the surge from their eastern borders.

In Iran the mullahs resort to the most gruesome barbarities to clinch to power. As the result, 120,000 people have been executed; more than a million people have been arrested, humiliated and tortured since Ayatollah Khomeini took the power away from the people in 1979. Gross human rights violations by Iranian authorities have been covered in the media recently and need no further explanation.

The fanatics in Tehran see intelligentsia as their biggest enemy. The main bastion of resistance for those who have escaped persecution is Camp Ashraf, or Ashraf City as its residents know it. It is situated in Iraq 60 miles east of the Iranian border north of the Iraqi town of Al-Khalis. Ashraf is the source of inspiration and a beacon of hope for Iranian women and youth who are fed up with Iranian regime and are demanding change

Join me and others around the world who believe that Islamic fundamentalism is the most serious threat to world peace and stability and see Ashraf holding the solution. Microcosm of a society that provides the counter example, what Iran should become. That is why Iran current rulers want Ashraf destroyed. The residents of Ashraf are threatened by mullahs' proxies in Iraqi government everyday. An international campaign for protection of Ashraf has been going for sometime now. So join me in my support for UK Committee in Support of Ashraf (UKCSA)

Together we can make a difference!

Thank you.

3- Recruit & Organise

Expand the peace movement and mobilize your community. Iran has been a major issue in a real discussion of global war and peace for years. Islamic fundamentalism rooted in Iran is a growing global thereat that is ripping apart the fabric of civil society in the western hemisphere. The Third Option which Ashraf represents is the only realistic solution to the problem of Iran and growing Islamic fundamentalism and the terror machine emanating from it. You can organise an event in your college, university, church, neighbourhood or just family home. We will be more than happy to send a representative to present the case.

Or simply distribute our leaflets in your neighbourhood or amongst your colleagues and friends. Every 'little' attention drawn to the real solution counts and will make a difference.

4 - Engage Your Local Media

Media attention is vital to raise awareness about Ashraf and ensures our points get attention. If you know any one of your local newspaper journalists contact them personally and ask them to write about Ashraf and Iran. Otherwise letters to the editor are an excellent way to educate your friends and neighbours about Ashraf and the Third Option solution for Iran as a global problem. Opportunities to write letters are endless. Read your newspaper with this in mind and you will undoubtedly find a subject to link and write about Ashraf.

Tips for a letter to the editor:

Keep it short. Your letter should be around 250 words, but check the newspaper's website for specific word count limitations.

Keep it relevant. Your letter should refer to an article, editorial, other letters to the editor, a recent or future event, or some element of the newspaper's coverage.

Make your point strong. Take a stance and use facts and figures whenever possible. If you have specialized knowledge or experience, go ahead and mention it. Use the letter as an opportunity to educate others, and avoid unnecessary jargon or acronyms.

Send your letter to the right person. Email your letter to the editor of your local paper. Most newspaper email addresses can also be found on the newspaper's website.

Identify yourself. Include your name, address, phone number and signature. The newspaper won't publish this information, but it is important they know who you really are and can contact you if they need to.

5- Contact UKCSA if you have any other means of helping us. We immensely welcome new ideas and means to support our noble cause, the cause of global peace and stability, which is the cause of humanity at large.

Thank you for being team member. Together we will make the difference.
